I'm reading all this stuff about amcas sending out to med schools in batches based on submission/verification date, so i was wondering if there's any significant difference between 6/25 and 6/30 just bc i'd like to give myself more time for people to edit my personal statement.

also if i submit by 6/30 do you think i will be verified by 8/1?

AMCAS doesn't send apps in batches. They hold all verified apps until June 29 (this year's date, it changes every year) and release all of the apps that they've accumulated up to that point.

After that, apps are released as they complete verification

Individual schools frequently will download a batch of applications at a time from AMCAS's servers but it's impossible to really predict when that's going to be

Rework your PS until you have it perfect and don't worry about the 5 day difference in submission date

submitting early is ideal but you want to submit when you're ready. i would wait and write a good personal statement. you don't want to rush and then find a typo in it or something.

The difference is negligible. If you were going to get into medical school by applying on the 25th, you'd still get in applying on the 30th.
