Any DO's using ERAS?

Do any DO's out there have any experience using ERAS to apply for residencies? I want to apply for my osteopathic internship at the same time that I apply for an MD pathology residency. (I graduate in 2002 so I'd be applying in 2001 for a 2003 residency spot.) I know that they used to be able to do this when there were paper applications.

ERAS says that now this can't be done because their "post office" doesn't open more than a year in advance.

Does anybody know how to get around this?

To answer your question, it's very simple, you apply thru ERAS for your residency and the AOA for internship. Just make sure the residency programs you apply to will accept the AOA internship. You'll have to call each program and ask them directly.
