Hi said ,

i would advice you to also consider studying the dental decks for NBDE 1 which are available online to purchase , those decks will help you score better. as for the advanced standing program or GPR it just depends on what are your future goals or plans . Advanced standing will prepare you to practice general dentistry in USA and GPR will train you to work with compromised patients or patients in a hospital enviornment. GPR will be a good start if you want to apply for speciality however it is not easy to be admited in GPR and it will not quailify you to practice general dentistry in USA . so from my point of view the advanced standing is a good start if you plan on settling in USA and practicing dentistry there ! ...but that is just my opinion . you can also read more through the other posts within this site and you will find a lot of answers to your questions .if you have any specific questions you can send me a private message too.

take care and good luck

Hi,
NBDE will not help you in any way outside USA !
AEGD stands for Advanced Education in General Dentistry and it is differant from the Advanced standing program , I think for the AEGD you do not need national boards to apply though i'm not sure , you'll have to check with the univerisities to get more info.

check at the ADA website for more info about programs in the USA , their website is www.ada.org
Good Luck
