I am leaning toward that as my undergrad major. The pre med doesn't look to offer much besides med school prep and I want something that I can use to gain employment in-case med school doesn't happen right away. Besides, it is very interesting to me, but I would like to learn more on the industry. Does anyone know where I can find information on the subject? Google doesn't really give me anything. Thanks for the assistance.

Biotechnology is the term you should probably be using. And yes, if you know biotechnology techniques, you will be able to get a job doing some PhD's bitchwork (if med school doesn't work out, that is).

Biotechnology is good for industry. If you want research AND/OR industry, do Biochemistry.
