I am probably going to create a sticky with FAQs so that people can post them and thus not have to create new messages to ask questions that have been asked and answered well before - any ideas on things that are important?

My thoughts:

1) Top residency programs
2) Salary info
3) Jobs info
4) Application process (LORs, PS, ERAS, Step I/II, # programs to apply to, etc)
5) AP vs CP, etc
6) Who is this loser and why does he keep talking about Beethoven?
7) Dead people
8) Anti-clinical medicine (kidding)

This might take awhile so don't expect anything quickly, but am looking for input on what are important topics...

Back in the pre-Teams days of Rheumatology and sunshine, I had actually thought about this on my walks home. It was the reason I had asked about stickies!

3 weeks into Teams I have completely forgotten all the bright ideas that I had then.

But it'll be a fun thing to write up! Count me in - once I recover my non-Internal Med CNS functions.

Silly! I meant things like "you must love double chocolate ice-cream more than deschutes and Warsteiner more than Andy and Virchow more than yaah". 😎

Although I enjoy drinking Warsteiner...I must admit that yaah's passion for drinking this nectar of the German gods far outweighs mine.

yaah, I was thinking, "what does deschutes use to medicate herself?"

yaah, I was thinking - what about "A Day In The Life Of"?

Yeah that's a good one. So much variety though. Might take a lot of typing. If I have a free 5 minutes later I'll think about it...

I'd imagine there'd be lots of variety! There's always Post #77 on the Official Anti-Clinical Medicine thread...

It's skewed slightly towards autopsies, but it still has a teaching point - i.e. that path residents didn't go into this field because they wanted to work from 9 to 5 only 😉

AndyM you're just jealous.
Current medication? That I will be done with Teams in LESS THAN THIRTY HOURS!!! That and Pepperidge Farm mint Milanos.
Woke up at 5:30 thinking about my three patients and the presentation on eosinophilia that I had been weaselled into doing. What a great start to the day!

I especially like the mini mint milanos, because you can eat more with less guilt.

Deschutes did you know there are DOUBLE CHOCOLATE Milanos?

I love Pepperidge Farm. They used to have these great commercials about 10 years ago starring an old man dressed in 1920's public fair garb saying things like, Pepperidge Faaahm remembaahs...

I'll think about the day in the life business...

I totally remember that dude...surely beats those Wilford Brimley commercials now about "I have diabetes." Speaking of diabetes, anybody remember the old Man Show with Jimmy Kimmel and Adam Carolla? I remember Jimmy's impression of Karl Malone (I doubt I have the exact wording down although I have all the Man Show DVDs but I'm not at home so here goes):

Hi, this be Karl Malone...I don't wanna diabetes...I think they should call it live-betes. If my doctor tells me I'm gonna diabetes, I'm gonna be sad but if my doctor tells me that I got live-betes, I think I'm gonna be ohh-kay!

OK...back to the topic...the cookies are awesome. Double chocolate milanos? For real? Please tell me this isn't a lie cuz when I go to Krogers tonight I'm gonna look for them 😀 If there are no double chocolate milanos, I'm gonna buy the [single] chocolate milanos and throw them at you at morning conference (if I make it). J/K 🙂

Imminent derailment... 😉

Pepperidge Farm is... a bit of heaven in every bite.

Pepperidge Farm was easier to find in Kuala Lumpur than it is here.
There's less variety and for whatever reason, the Canadian variety are named differently. The Milano as I knew it, is called the Monaco.

My all-time favourite is the Geneva - a crumby cookie with dark chocolate on one side covered with pecan chunks. Ooooh...~

I don't ever do anything else when I eat their cookies. I just - eat. Verrrry slowly...
