I am not an IITian, but I did get my dental degree from India and will be applying for MD 2008. Medical schools here do not accept undergrad from other countries, I will have to take premed courses here.. I don't want to go thru 4 yrs undergrad.. I have a US Masters, which will not count towards the credits awarded....
What is ur POA

I do not plan to take UG courses again. After talking to two of the nearest schools, it seems like they are open about accepting my foreign credits. I understand that there is a risk and not all schools will accept the credits but spending one more year on taking these courses is not appealing either.

I agree, it isn't appealing!! 🙄 I live in Texas and pretty much all of the med schools here wanted me to get med prerequisites completed here. Which universities did you enquire??

Both Univ of Washington and Oregon Health were fine with CC and foreign courses. It would have been great to have a list of such universities -- I am sure several people go through this process every year...

University of Minnesota ( both twin cities and Duluth campuses) accept foreign undergrad. They do require that you complete at least 1/2 of the pre-reqs in the US. They also have more pre-reqs than the other medical schools. For example, they require 4 courses in Social/behavioral sciences.

Let's keep this thread going, may be others in similar situations can shed light on what other schools accept foreign undergrads.
