any info on psycho-oncology?

I'm an MSIII trying to sort out my career path. I've always felt very passionate about both psychiatry and oncology, so now that I've heard about the concept of psycho-oncology/psychiatric oncology I am extremely interested.

Do I understand correctly that the main way people get involved in psycho-oncology is through Psych then a Psychosomatic fellowship?
Should I be looking at IM/Psych combined programs too?

Are there any particular programs that are especially known to be strong in this field? (preferably ones known to be receptive to DOs!)

Any general info that I should know about a career path focusing on the intersection of psych and oncology?

Brigham and Women's Hospital and the Dana Farber Cancer Institute have a dedicated psycho-oncology fellowship:

I believe that Sloan-Kettering in NYC also has one.

I can't comment on how receptive either would be to a DO.

The Memorial Sloan-Kettering fellowship combined a couple of years ago with NY Hospital/Cornell. The program is now 9 months psycho-oncology and 2 months general c-l:
