I thought I saw a list a while back that ranked what residency directors were looking for, but I can't seem to find it doing a search. Does anyone have a link to such information. It was a ranked list that listed what residency directors thought were most important like this:

1. USMLE
2. Clinical Grades
3. Letter's of Recommendation
4. . . . .

that's too generic a question for a single answer. for one, the order may chance with varying specialties. second, the only people who could best answer that question would be PDs, and i'm guessing there are confidentiality rules to prohibit them discussing such specific details at all, let alone on the world wide web.

last, any list that doesn't include "applicant is someone I would like to work with for 3+ years" is definately incomplete. residency is about hiring co-workers as much as trainees - and few people want to work with an a**hole.

I've seen it somewhere, and it included different columns for various specialties. Can't remember where though.

Yeah that is exactly what I am talking about. Anyone know where to find this thing?

So there are articles on pubmed for most of the specialties, but does anyone know where the summary is?
