Disappointed. Studied, felt great, then panicked before the exam.
Watch out for the laminated bright YELLOW GRID paper (SOLID BLACK LINES!) as your "white board". I expected "white" board... Totally threw me off...especially while doing QR calculations...hard to see my writing with those damn gridlines! anyone else experience this? Everything looked so messy and busy on it!

If you have low DAT scores, do you suggest you post it on your application and say that you will retake? Is October too late to retake? If you do post that you will retake, will they not even consider you for interviews until after your retake? Or should I just ride with these scores and take my chances?

G.Chem sucked. Can't even remember what was on there. And I had a lot more calculations than conceptual questions. bombed. :scared: (Also, I'm Taking G.Chem2 this semester...so I went in a bit shaky)

Bio:20
Chem:16 (This hurts...was doing so well on my practice exams..)
Ochem:19
QR: 16 (Graph a trig function?? What the??? KNOW your TRIG!)
RC: 19
PAT: 19
AA: 18
TS:18
No chance at all? GPA: 3.5 BCP: 3.6
Lots of extracurricular experience:in Morocco, China, Vietnam
I don't know if it was my nerves that just did me in...but...I really need advice on what to do. Should I post that I will retake? Or should I just wait and take my chances?

I feel like such a failure...🙁

sorry dude. this damn laminated thing sounds real crappy.
i think you should def. retake it. you'l have time to study alot come october.
i think you gchem shows that you can never be too sure what to study.
my advice: study everything. if you know gchem problems than you can do the conceptual stuff so long as your not memorizing.
The reason some people do amazing is because they dont overlook things.

You have a good GPA, and your scores are not THAT bad, just need to retake it 🙂
Don't freak out, your scores are not gonna kill your application, just let them know you are retaking it. There are a lot of people with your scores and even lower GPA's getting in each year.

So should I call the schools directly and tell them I will retake or should I just mark the new test date on my AADSAS application?

Thanks for your encouragements...
Still trying to crawl out of my hole...
Maybe it was bad luck residue taking it the day after Friday the 13th?? 🙁

I do not think your scores are as low as the guy says above. A low score is 15.

BUT, I've heard that a low QR section can be overlooked, but a science under 17 is highly frowned upon. Your gpa is good, though. I would say retake. You only need to improve your CHEM.

Hey i was wondering basically i got a 15 on my PAT 19AA but im a mexican do you think ill get in?

"but im a mexican do you think ill get in?" lol... does the race card really work???

yeah it does if ur african american like they get 17-16AA and get in and get like a 10k scholarship

but mexicans are smarter so i dont know if that'll be ok..like my stats aren't bad biochem bs honors 3.7 19AA just a ****ty 15 PAT i was pissed as hell😡

i don't know if mexicans are smarter than african americans. i mean there are some african americans that are smarter than mexicans, asians, whites, etc. so i think your statement is a little extreme. however, being of hispanic decent will give you some slack on your DAT scores and GPA. i know 2 hispanics, one with a low DAT and the other with a low GPA, and both got multiple offers even with scholarships. nonetheless, goodluck with your application and interviews. the DAT is over for now so at least you don't have to concentrate on that anymore.

We should start a Low DAT stats support club. Anyone??

It's hard crawling out of this hole alone...🙁
