I went to USF (yes, San Francisco not South Florida) for both my undergrad (biology) and my masters (chemistry) and I am currently a medical student at UCLA. I loved USF. It was the only undergrad school I applied to, by choice. There are some incredibly bright people there, especially in the chemistry department, so you should find out who they are and get to know them, regardless of your major. Dr. Margerum is awesome and you will learn tons from him. What is terriffic about the school is that there is a sense of comaraderie in classes, rather than a sense of competition. It's great to know that if you have to miss a class, there are plenty of people who would be willing to make copies of their notes for you. In some other schools, I've heard competition prevents this kind of comaraderie.
As far as advice, you will have to be more specific, because I am not really sure what kind of info you are interested in. However, I would like to congratulate you and tell you that you should be proud to go to USF. Many of the people I did pre-med with wound up at UCSF. It is a solid school, and anyone who thinks you can pay for your grades is, at the very least, misinformed. You will have to work very hard in your pre-med classes, because unlike places like Stanford which allow you to drop the class all the way up until the final, USF will give you a "W" if you drop a class after the 2nd or 3rd week.
Let me know if you have any questions.
