Does anyone know if there are any microbiology classes that are offered online this semester? I know someone that is taking it online now, but I need one that hasn't started yet... thanks in advance!

Most pharmacy schools I've looked at require science classes to have labs. You'll have to contact a school in your area for a micro class since it would be hard to do a lab online. Don't you think?

I know my school offers a hybrid micro class. Lecture work is online, but students have to show up for lab once a week. And the final is NOT given online. Maybe other schools do it differently.

I've never taken a science class online before. I hear from nearly everyone who has that it's pretty tough.

I am taking micro online right now, but we have a lab on campus twice a week.

Keep looking... you might find one somewhere. At my school the lab and leture were totally seperate, you could take them together or at seperate times. You could take the lecture (3 credit hours) without the lab (2 credit hours) if you wanted to...

Though they don't offer it online here, sorry.

Thank you all so much for your input. I didn't take micro because only one of the schools that I applied to requires it, but I have an interview with that school and all of a sudden realized that I really should have taken it this semester. I actually found one that is online and starts next month... *PFEW*! I took A&P I and II online, it IS tough, but I am pretty good at keeping up with work. If you are willing to do the work and be disciplined, it's not so bad. I highly recommend it if you work. I couldn't have found the time to finish my prereqs if not for the online classes, because I work full time.
