CDP (10 tests) is all I have for PAT.
For me, the PAT section of the real DAT was much harder than CDP. I was averaging 23 on CDP. The last CDP I took was the day before of my exam and I got a 28. On the real DAT, I got an 18. I am not sure if it was my nerves that got to me that day or what, but an 18 and a 23 average is a big difference considering how many people state CDP is harder than the real PAT.

Keyholes (the real PAT focused more on size proportion), hole punching (I never saw a 1/3 folded patter hole punch before!), and pattern folding were the three sections that threw me off on the real DAT. These are also the sections I usually got a 15/15 on CDP.

So, I am wondering if their are any good practice materials for PAT besides CDP?

Thankssssss!!!!!! 🙂

I believe that since you have the 10 test version of CDP then you have the extra hole punching and angle practice. But I could be wrong.

If you do have the extra hole punching use it. You'll get "crazy" folds come up more often and they'll become easy. On my test at least 2 of the paper plane making folds if you will, I had already seen before from CDP. Plus as you go through extra you'll get used what I call "fake" folds that do nothing but try to deceive you. They'd fold up, over, back again then punch a hole didn't move or didn't have any folds on it. I had one of those types on my test.

only draw back is that the extra 2500 doesn't have an explanation for each. It just tells you the answer if you missed it.

I never saw any 1/3 folds on my test and I'm not sure what you're thinking of, I can't seem to picture it. could you describe it more?

Hi there Herkulease!

Thanks! I'm probably going to upgrade my CDP 🙂

Well, I attached a very generic example of a 1/3 fold that I made up just to show you what it is. Hole punching was never a concern for me... until I saw the 1/3 fold.

is it possible they have made some type of mistakes when they were writing these new tests this yr for hole punching? bc based on what I see in your pic, it's just show the holes arent alignment!!!!

lol exactly! I stared at the 1/3 hole punching on the real DAT thinking they just totally misaligned everything! Either it's not as clear cut and aligned as CDP... or it REALLY is a legit hole punch.

maybe we should contact them and explain it to them, maybe they have made some type of mistakes or at least they should provide us with new sample test, that at least we have some idea what are we gonna see at the test date!!!

I know, right? I also had a couple hole punch like this with the paper 1/3 folded across. This one seems more legit, though.

That looks more like 1/2 fold to me

I've seen numerous examples of 1/2 fold in achiever practice test. Achiever TFE, keyholes and hole punching should be much harder than the real DAT

potatochips your user name just made me so hungry
studying makes me forget to eat!

I would think its an error on their part the one where its in between you would get a half punch hole.

I had one those where it seemed misaligned with the previous picture. I was like did you bunch the whole on the very bottom row or the 2nd from the bottom row. My punch seemed to be in between both. but I had to check the answer choices and was like ok they meant to do this one.

It also seemed to me when I was going through the hole punching that "quality" of the image varied from question to question. some seems very sharp while others were kinda blurry and the holes were nice circles, some where kind of oval-ish.

where did you get those pictures by the way?

I have the 10 test version and can't find any extra stuff for angles or hole punching. I go to "Angle Ranking" or "Hole Punching" then go to the drop down menu and only "Test 1, Test 2, .....Test 10, Random Test" comes up.

Any idea where I can find it?

Also, does anyone know if you can view all of your test scores (1-10) on CDP at the same time?

sorry I looked on their website I assumed it they only had 2 packages. available in reality there is 3 different ones.

I have the royal flush edition. and thus have the 2500 extra problems. If you only see test 1 through 10 from the pull down menu @ the start then you do not have the royal flush version then.

I don't believe there is a way to see them all at once. You will have to make an excel sheet for that.

I drew them 😳 Just to show what I meant 🙂

ok, still I dont understand the picture. to me looks like they just fold half of the hole and basically nothing happens to hold. I seriously think we should call some one but I dont know who and ask about this. bc if this is the case it's not fair to any one that we go to exam and we see this strange folds. Im so good with this section and I dont want loose points for this part. I have enough problem with other parts....

In CDP, the folds can be fit into a 4x4 grid... for example, folds can be 1/4, 1/2, 3/4, or 4/4 (not folded). The second image shows that the fold was in between these fractions (1/3 for example). I had a question with a 1/3 fold on my real PAT with a hold punch. It was really confusing 😕

The first image was to show the misalignment of the real PAT. On CDP, everything is proportional and aligned correctly. On the real PAT, it's not clear. Some holes are oval-ish, some holes are huge, and some holes are shifted out of their 4x4 grid.
