I'm taking neurobio and neurodevelopement this semester with phys, chem, and a writing course lol. Also doing 18hrs of basic research, don't know how many hours of clinical research, 8 hrs of volunteering, 4-8hrs of teaching, 4hrs of misc, and 0 hours to live. Was neurodevelopment an alright class?

Neurodevelopment is an interesting class. I would have liked to try teaching it at my school if I had the chance. It teaches you a lot about dev bio and how neural systems are involved in diseases as well.

That being said, it also depends on who is teaching it and if the prof is totally dry or dull then naybe not worth it if you dont have astrong interest in it already.

I took developmental neuroscience and I thought it was awesome, but its definitely not easy. I agree with engrailed that it probably depends on your professor, but it can go in a lot of directions where your background in neuroscience won't necessarily save you from having to put in a lot of work. It sounds like you have a lot on your plate this semester, and its easy to get burned out quickly with a ton of stem classes, especially if they all have labs. I would at least consider writing down the time commitments you expect for everything on a per day basis, and ask yourself if you think its reasonable and something you would be able to manage.

Is it possible to take any of your classes, like your writing class for example, online? Might make it easier to manage your time

To be fair, as the person above me noted, dev bio isnt easy, generally. I have a background it in already (hint: my username is a protein in that area haha) but if you do have the bandwidth to study it, it can be quite fascinating

my writing class is online, but I honestly might just drop it

If that writing class could potentially be used to fulfill a writing prereq for med schools dont take it online

no, this course was going to fulfill my writing intensive requirements for my major, but I might just take it later

I was looking through the lecture slides and sample exams for the class, and it seemed like it was largely rote memorization, but I take it that's not the case...?

Do you know anyone who has taken the exact class in previous years that can provide some insight? If it's anything like my neuro classes, it will require more studying than just rote memorization.
