Just wondering if you all knew of any links to websites/journals that were accepting abstracts/papers. By this i am meaning not big namers like NEJM, or annals of surgery but some of the 'smaller' journals.

Thanks

I assume you have a paper to submit, but you haven't said anything about the subject matter. What journals did you have in mind when you did the research? I'm confused by your question because almost all research is done with certain journals in mind (at least in my experience).

Yeah, narrow it down for us. What's the research area? Ask someone at your med center who does research in that area to recomment a journal. As long as you have some big-wig's name on the paper too, you can pretty much just send them in. I think each journal has it's own rules and submission dates. Pull up an issue and take a look. The info should be in there somewhere. Good luck.

Yah it's on pediatric Gi stuff. I was just wondering if there's an 'easy' place to publish. The mentor of mine is pretty well known, atleast in our hospital but I do not know how much of a 'national' rep he's got.

but yes, any suggestions would be great! 👍

Look his/her name up in PubMed or Medline and see where your mentor has published previously. Many PIs just stick to a handful of journals when they publish...

I'd say ask your mentor. That's pretty much what he's for. My research is GI too. As far as I can tell it's easier to get published in Surgical and clinical journals than basic science journals like 'physiology'. Standards are less rigorous. But do ask your mentor. He might even know some of the right people. And if you can get him to put his name on the paper that will definately help.
