I'm applying for my second time, do any of you know how schools feel about 2nd time applicants? I've heard that applying twice is a very good thing. Also, do you know if the schools will see both sets of DAT scores (this year and last) or just this year?

yes, schools see all the dats that you have taken. the most recent scores are listed first.
i am also second time applicant. however, i heard that it really doesn't make much of a difference...so it isn't "really good" as you mentioned. in fact, if you are a second time applicant, they look for major improvements. if you havent changed much, they think you haven't tried hard enough. i think we all know how difficult it is to increase your gpa/dat, so it sucks trying to make any major improvement.
basically, second time applicants should be aware that their applications are going to be looked at with more detail (in a negative way) than first time applicants.
good luck.

Ive been told that you want higher DAT scores if they were low, or if the GPA was low you should do a masters and they will really only look at that GPA and if it was that you had no dental realted experiences, you should try working in an office or doing more shadowing. I know several people that got in after applying twice and even three times. If you really want to know how to be the most competitive, meet with someone related to admissions at one of the schools or else email or call them.
