all i have to say about that experience is "frell" (and if you get the reference i will be truely impressed 🙂 )
i am pretty sure i rocked vr and bs. writing is not an issue for me (have an r expect to get that again). the only section i am slightly concerned about is ps.
anyone else biding time with me till the end of sept??
oh yeah and i should mention there was only 1 other non trad at my test site....but hey at least we had one another admist all those 20 somethings 😉

It has been a long summer and the wife and kids are just as glad as I am that it's over. This was my 3rd time, and I feel pretty good about everything. It was the first time that I finished every section and felt like I understood what was going on in each and every passage of the test. I am sure that I made some mistakes, but I just hope to avoid the silly ones. I think that is what really makes or breaks a score on the MCAT.......how well do you do the things that you know how to do. Best of luck!

Boy the two of you are doing better than I. I felt great for PS, okay for VR, and absolutely useless for BS. Had to hurry through about 1/3rd of it and guessed for fair sized chunks. Ugh.

OP- Gotta love Farscape...

yep we certainly do..so much so infact that our youngest dd's name is aeryn 😉.
yes we are sci fi geeks...lol

I was the only student out of almost 1500 that brought my husband instead of my parents-it made my good luck kiss much more convincing though 😀

Since our exam took 12+ hours from when the line first started moving until we were dismissed, I have no idea how the actual exam went. I was entirely emotionally exhausted before ps was even over

After acting the doting husband all summer, my guy is really looking forward to me making dinner for a change 😀

I'm with you--the bio section was horrendous! Almost none of the passages had anything to do with the core topics we were supposed to have learned, and they were extremely difficult to decipher. Judging by the buzz over in the MCAT forum, though, most people felt that way, so I'm hoping for a generous curve.

I took mine in April and barelly survived 🙁 . I was in my first trimester, so all I wanted to do was puke my brains out, couldn't even concentrate! Guess what it showed since I'll be taking it for the 3rd. time sometime in the spring. I actually went down one point from the 1st time I took it 🙁 lots of tears! I am not starting to study for it while the baby is still in the belly and the other kids in daycare 😀 . Hopefully I'll be ready for Jan, otherwise I'll have to restudy and take it in April instead.
I guess its the waiting game for you guys, I hope you all did well!

Yeah, VR and the essays didn't seem that bad. I feel more confident about the BS than the PS, though; as someone else put it, it felt more like a physics test than a physical science test. We'll see what happens.

PS is by far my weakest section and I was still weak in this past PS. That was the only section I couldn't finish in time and just had to do some freelance bubbling. I felt really good about the BS and was really surprised by the negative response the BS got from most people in the MCAT forum. To quote the guy sitting next to me when the test was over: "Thanks Kaplan for teaching me bull**** for Biology." VR is always a toss-up for me but I felt good this time. All I know is I tried my best and that is all I can hope for, right? Just hope it is good enough...

OH, and I am SOOOOO glad it is over. Now all I have to do is work. Work seems easy, breezy now that this MCAT is over... 😎

Mommy To Three: I Studied For 4 Months And I Survived The Mcat! I Feel Confident About It And Want My Score...now!!!

:scared: well i'm still walking, but i can't say i survived mentally...i gave it my best though 😳

the motivation in all of us non-trads is unbelievable. If you put in the time (~3 mos) studying for the MCAT and you really want to get into medical school-- you will. I did better on the April MCAT than I had expected and I'm on my way (hopefully) this application season. You too can do it!

we shall overcome! (the MCAT) g'luck to all non-trad applicants this season.

Very nice MCAT...I doubt you'll have any issues getting multiple acceptances.

nice work.

Hi mommy2three,

I'm glad I'm not the only mommy of 3 around this camp. My children are 12, 3,and 1. It's very challenging esp. when studying for the MCAT. I wrote the MCAT 4 times. This Aug. was my final time. I took the Kaplan course (I could finally afford it) and feel like I also did well on verbal this time which has always been tough for me. But this time I actually finished. I have a master's in bio so I feel like I did ok in bio although it seemed to get tougher towards the end (form CH). I actually think I did OK in PS b/c I finished 10/11 passages which I usually only finish 8 or 9. So I am reapplying for the second time regardless of my scores beacuse I do not want to wait for Oct. Well good louck and Godspeed.

I had 3-4 questions left in PS (section I was using to buffer the other two..i always finish too 😡 )....VR i felt like i did better than normal and had 3 questions left instead of a full passage or passage and a half (i think my anger from not finishing PS was my boost here)..and BS was real wierd for me too...i had about 4-6 left over two passages at the end....for a good while, I felt I was doing good on time for the science sections ...and then I remember looking at my watch for physical sciences and I had 20 mins for 3 passages!! ..same for bio too!..well, hope we guessed right!
