Passed my class 5 practical, but definitely not happy with the grade. Besides practice, any helpful resources/videos you would recommend? tips?

What in particular are you struggling with? Here are a couple things that I remember helping in the preclinical direct course: Putting a little bond on the plastic instruments can help prevent sticking. Overbulk a bit so you have room to polish down. If you end up with little voids around your margin, put a little bond at the void and cure it, should clean it up. Certainly practice makes a huge difference, too. Direct is a very tough A, but it's doable. I ended up practicing each practical, start to finish, at least 2-3 times beforehand.

Well I had a practice practical with one of the class organizations and ended up getting 3 Es which what I was extremely happy with, but ended getting S's in every category on the actual practical. Perhaps I need to get ahold of a perfect prep/restoration and try to replicate that and then use students as a guidance. We're on break now so I'll get to see real soon what exactly I fudged up on.

Not a bad idea. The practice practical are good for getting thing timing down, but I do think students tend to be lenient graders compares to faculty. Good luck on the next one, PM me if have any Buffalo specific questions.
