Any residents realize they don't "fit" w/the program after all?

This question is mainly for residents: have any of you matched into a program where you thought you had a great "fit" based on the info given and impressions drawn from interview day, but then after matching there realized it wasn't what you expected?

When I interviewed at a program where I had done an away, I realized that the "face" they put on during interview day wasn't really an accurate portrayal of the program as I had experienced it and if I hadn't have rotated there, I wouldn't have known any better.

I ask because I'm trying to decide how heavily I should weigh this "fit" concept in making my rank list when it seems like the "fit" could be sometimes based on chance/white lies.

M4. Interesting question and I hope it gets some good responses. I don't hide the fact that I think "Fit" (again, different definition for each indiv.) trumps basically everything outside of perhaps location. I also fully realize that "fit" can change in....well....approx. 11 minutes as the match algorithm could bring an entirely different class to the residency, one of which you might not at all fit with....and this would be YOUR class. Nothing is guaranteed.

Talk more to the residents in the program to determine if the "fit" is congruent with reality in the program.
