Hey people! my cgpa is not competitive for medical school (3.45) so I am thinking of applying to an SMP or postbac to raise my gpa. I am currently studying for the MCAT, but I am not sure what would be a better option to go to from there on. I did look here and there for the past couple of days and people seem to recommend different things according to the situation of the applicant, the really general norm being SMP if gpa is quite low, while postbac if it is not so bad (correct me if I am wrong).

Now here are some program I have looked at liked and heard good things about:

-University of Michigan MS physiology (which is regarded as a top 10 according to their website)
-Duke MBS (relatively new program, haven't heard much of this apart from looking at the thread)
-Barry U
-John Hopkins HSI
-Harvard Extension
-U Cinci

So if we assume I do really well in the MCAT (an equivalent of a 36 in the old test), what would you recommend doing an SMP or should I go with Post bac? what programs would you recommend if my goal is to become as competitive as I can academically wise

Also if anyone here is a student or recent graduate at any of these programs and wants to comment on their experience you are welcome.

Thank you very much for your time
