I have a few questions for those who work in Walmart regarding how to navigate quickly in their system. I'm new and i'm having some trouble trying to finding answers to common questions quickly cause i'm stuck trying to find what i'm looking for so I was wondering if some walmart pharmacists have some suggestions/tips on that. Thanks!

Well what are you trying to look for? Connexus is a great system.

Somebody else posted the following comment about Walmart computer system....

"My favorite part is the tracking system because you just have to hit F6, type in either the patient's last name or rx# and it will tell u where the prescription is instead of searching all over the pharmacy for it.

if their MD call in any prescriptions u can just hit the F6 button and do a name search and it will tell u whether the script is ready or at input/fill station/pickup/etc"

what about searching for a Md for a particular patient? I'm working at a new pharmacy in a new area and not familiar with the MD. Previously as an intern, it was easier for me to pull up the profile of the patient they are calling and looking at the rx to properly write down the mds name

There is a drop down menu at the top and you hit the arrow pointing down and you hit "prescriber" and search from there. If it doesn't come up in your local area you can hit "search host". When you search host it's best if you have a DEA.

I have a different question. I know there is no standard schedule, at least I don't believe so, for a Walmart pharmacist, but what is a typical schedule like at a store that does NOT use the one pharmacist all day model (on 2 days/off 2 days/every other weekend)? A store that overlaps the opening and closing pharmacists on weekdays, for example?

I've seen 3 RPhs for one store so one 2 full time one part time. Then one would come in at 9-4 then the second would be like 1-9. And the part time would do the full time days off.

How far in advance does the schedule get posted for pharmacists?

Wondering if it would be possible to accept a per diem hospital position in addition to a full time pharmacist spot. If wmt only posts the schedules a couple weeks in advance, this would not be possible.

It's a couple months in advanced I believe.

How many hours do the grad interns get after becoming staff RPHs?
