Anybody Else Not Heard Anything Yet?

man...i've been complete since end of september / early october and i have yet to hear from any school. and i took the April MCAT too... starting to think i might have to reapply next year....

coming from a top 10 undergraduate institution, my stats are lopsided (35+MCAT but sub-3.3 GPA). i'm worried that my GPA is too much of a red flag for them to overlook.

Anybody in the same shoes as me (not heard from any schools yet)?

I haven't heard from most of my schools and I was complete (with secondaries) in early September (AMCAS completed July 24). I did get interviews at GWU and UVA, but I submitted almost 20 applications. I've gotten three rejections so far (two from places that never sent me a secondary).

Anyway, for what it is worth, I called one school, where I've been complete for over 3 months now, and they told me that the reviewer checked out my file in mid-Oct, and that it takes about 6 weeks for them to make a decision (interview or reject). So that is a full 16 weeks before they get back to some applicants!!!

Don't fret - I think many schools are slow to get through these things. I've heard of people getting interviews 3-4 months after being complete. Of course, what do I know - I'm in the same boat as you. But don't dispare yet - it's too soon!

I'm not in the same position, but my boyfriend is -- had had both your stats and submitted secondaries around the same time (actually probably a little earlier than you. So far he's only gotten 2 interview invites, and one of them was an automatic invite. He's gotten a couple rejections, but mostly he just hasn't heard anything.

Me too - nothing yet - no rejections, no interview invites, nothing, nothing, nothing 🙂

I have decent stats (31 MCAT, 3.6 GPA, top ten undergrad) but i did take the august mcat... still waiting stinks...

from what i know and heard its a busy time. Most schools are really backed up at the moment. I have a few friends with stats better then mine who haven't heard anything in the past three weeks, so you should be alright. I also am in your same boat bro.

Well, I've only heard anything from 1 school at which I was complete after 8/25, and from all the schools at which I was complete before that date except 1. Go figure.
