Well..me for sure..but anybody else? I had talked to a very nice admissions person, and she had suggested that it was first come, first serve for scheduling interviews. But, I think there are people here who got that message after me and have gotten actual dates. Did I misunderstand? Anybody who knows, please post.. thanks! 🙂

Yup, I think I got that message too. No dates yet....the interviews are based on your priority status right?

Hey Mika,

I think VCU does prioritize people and then calls them according to date file was complete. At least thats what I understood from my conversation. So..my file was complete 9/27/01 and my status changed 2wks later.

When did you get that notice? I guess it must be based more on competitiveness then timing!

My file was complete 10/11/01 and then my file status changed about 2 weeks later as well. Did you get the message saying they would contact you in the next 4-6 weeks (or something like that) or the ambiguous one?

Are you referring to the message that talked about we are further evaluating your application to deciede if we should interview you. It then went on to say the committee shows interest in more people that it can interview.

I also recieved that notice, but then 3 days later I received an interview offer.

i got the message almost two weeks ago and still no interview 🙁 file completed 10/08.

I got the same news. They are interested in my candidacy and want to interview me but no date yet. My file was completed on 10/11. Since then no developments (although the message stated that they would like to bring me for an interview within the next 4 to 6 weeks). I guess I have to be more patient.

I had the 6-8 week thing and they finally picked a date for me today. My file was reviewed 10-3. Next problem: it costs an arm and a leg to fly to Richmond from Cleveland or anywhere w/in 150 miles of here.

Suz177,
Try flying to Washington, DC and then driving to Richmond (about 2hr drive). Plane tickets are much cheaper this way (at least from Chicago).

Hi guys,

Thank goodness I am not the only one without an actual date!

Amybeth: I got the same message as you..but still no date. I don't have any time frames in my status message. It just says that we will try and bring you in.
Is it possible that those who have actual time frames, (4-6 or 6-8 weeks) probably have higher priority?

I wonder if I should call them up again...

Actually, the message I got specifies 6-8 weeks not 4-6 weeks.

This is part of it:
"We will make every effort to bring you in for interview within the next 6-8 weeks."
