Due to financial isuues, I may be a little late applying this year. There are 2 top 10 schools on my list and I'm concerned about applying with an August MCAT and September application. Feedback?

I took the august MCAT.
You pretty much know my situation...
Places like Yale are not rolling (a few other tier 1 schools), not that it matters. Most I applied were rolling.
I submitted my AMCAS in late September (~25th) and sent out my last secondary in early December. Interviewed between mid-December and mid-Ferbruary. Got first acceptance Jan 18. Got my last one March 20th.

I only applied to one of the top tiers (if you only mean top 10), but I took the august MCAT and didn't complete my applications until very late and got into 3 or 4 top 50 schools - Jefferson, Tufts, Dartmouth, Indiana Univ. My MCAT was solid but nothing special... that being said, if there's any way you can get things done early, do it. You'll be accepted earlier and you can relax a little before heading to school...

I took the MCAT last August and applied at the very last minute for Columbia (non-rolling) and Cornell (rolling). I was accepted at Columbia, but waitlisted for Cornell....if you're a good applicant, it won't kill you to have it in there....just do it as soon as possible.

Here we go again 🙄

Just curious....what is 'very late' for secondaries? I'm taking the august MCAT so my scores wont' be out until October, but i'm getting secondaries now (10 by last count, I applied to a lot of schools, ok? 🙄 ).

Since the schools won't even look at my stuff until they receive my scores, and if I get all my secondaries etc in by September (before august mcat scores comes out), is that 'too late'? I know that some peopel start getting acceptances by October and that applying late will really hurt you....will not having med schools look at my stuff until October hurt my chances?
