Anyone purchased the AAMC Official Guide to MCAT that came out in March? What do you think of it? The info states that it contains questions taken from real MCAT exams, answers, and "valuable applicant data." I'm not too concerned with the "valuable applicant data," but is there a sufficient number of practice questions and answers to warrant purchasing this book or is it enough just to use other resources like EK, Kaplan, etc? Thanks.

i'm working through it right now. the questions are grouped into categories of "easy, medium, or hard." most have ranged in the easy category, so i don't think it's worth the price unless you have completely run out of good practice material.

if you are using other material like ek or kaplan, you won't be at a disadvantage.

I'll bandwagon on that. As someone who finished all EK and Kaplan's book (not the course), $45 was a small price to pay for more materials, especially when the $45 included a free AAMC practice test of my choice

The book is pretty lame. Some practice material, but not much content. Do not recommend.

I just did the verbal section. I feel like crying bc im getting most of them wrong! I did so much better on the practice exams in the gold standard mcat book

I did the Biology section so far and I thought it was pretty weird compared to Berkeley Review and EK. The passages seemed to all be about reading the graphs and figures included and not much about the biology concepts behind it, but that's just my opinion.
