Anyone doing an elective in Amman, Jordan at the end of this year?

I'll be doing my elective in Amman for three weeks through Nov/Dec.
Would love to meet anyone who will be there at the same time!

hey there,

sorry i just haven't been on this forum for a while. I did my elective at the Jordanian Red Crescent hospital in Amman, Jordan. It wasn't very structured and I had some communication problems but the people there were overall very nice and helpful. When I was there, they were undergoing some renovations so there weren't as many patients. I spent three weeks in obs and gynae and surgery.

If you want something more structures with formal teaching (I preferred this) in English, I suggest you check out the University of Jordan's faculty of medicine - contact their officer, Rashida Badran at [email protected]. I applied there but the approval letter came too late, so I went along with JRCS instead.

If you're interested, contact the hospital director. his name is Engineer Omar Abu Qoura and his email is [email protected]. He doesn't reply his email often, so if you don't get a reply I suggest you contact Zaina the PR officer at [email protected]. hope this helps!
