not taking boards till July 13th here, so im using the COMLEX q bank just to hone my question reading skills, and as test time and my studies ramp up, i will switch to Q bank.

my question is: what do those who are using the COMLEX q bank think so far?

my ambien isnt working too well tonight so im up 😴

In terms of what? I think it's easier than the USMLE practice materials...

The questions seem decent, which scares me with all the previous posts about the COMLEX being an "ambiguously-worded exam".

I've heard it's very similar to regular Qbank with some added somatic dysfunction findings that basically waste your time to read.

(again, this is what I have HEARD, take it for what it's worth)

I actually find that the somatic dx they give makes the questions way easier. Like if one were to have no concept of the underlying pathology from the rest of the info in the question, if they say T11-12 dx, it gives renal away. You don't get easy crap like that on USMLE.

I realize that it may make for an easier question, but isn't that kind of the whole point of using viscerosomatics in your assessment??? To help you confirm what you think is going on or to clue you in on an area to do a more thorough physical exam???

Yeah if you believe in it.

I don't really see what's so hard to believe about it. Referred pain patterns from visceral structures have been described for years.

Cranial, however, is a completely different story... 😀
