Just seeing if anyone else on here applied to Murdoch and if they are going. I got an email saying they are extending an offer but that the official paperwork is in the mail. I'm from Los Angeles, CA and I have never been to Australia. Can anybody who has been to Perth or maybe currently a student now tell me a little more about the area and what the program is like? I think it would be amazing to study there but it's also scary at the same time. I'm pretty sure I signed up for the July semester but I need to see what the paperwork says when it gets here. If I decide to go it would be nice to know at least one person so I don't feel so alone 🙂

Hey.. I applied to Murdoch's vet too.. I grew up in Sydney though.. thats in the other side.. However i just recently graduated high school from a school in Indonesia, Jakarta. So yeh im still looking forward for their reply.. they said they will give the offer around mid January.

There is 100% absolutely, positively no July semester. If you got an offer letter for 2011, that means starting in February.

Do a quick search on the forums for Murdoch threads. I'm a current student just about to enter final year and have answered a lot of questions about Murdoch and Perth 😉

There's a currently ongoing one in the Veterinary forums regarding Murdoch.

Good luck and congrats

Ive never visited perth before, but i heard they have good beaches and their farm is right beside the school.. so it sure soundss interesting studying in murdoch.. i was just wondering is anyone applying or have applied straight from high school? I applied from an international school in Jakarta, they gave me a ATAR rank of 97.10.. can anyone telll me if thats enough to be competitive for a spot? i also did a personal statement just to support my application.. and i also included some of my experience.. ive interned in local clinics.. in farms.. and im also a beagle breeder 🙂 BEAGLESS!!! and also labradors.. and yeh I love handling my dogs in the show ring..

Anyone know anything about deferring enrollment for international students. Is it allowed? I was accepted in December and it sounds cool and everything, but picking up and moving around the world in one month is just too difficult. Any info. would be appreciated!
