I am done with all the secondary apps (around 10) and now playing the waiting game for interview calls/emails
Sadly, as the schools started receiving my applications I also realized that my bank balance has officially run dry. With all the secondary application fees - grabbing coffee has now become a luxury 🙁

I would be broke and in debt but luckily (well for a sad reason) my fiance inherited some money and paid off my credit card and is paying my deposit. I got lucky because I had no clue how I was going to save up $1500 in one month.

I'm so broke. After my two week cross country trip interviewing at schools, I thought I had just enough money left to pay my deposit also using money from my paycheck I get tomorrow. I ended up having to spend it on something else and had to borrow the money last night. It is so embarrassing. I only applied to 8 schools and spent about $3000. I have no idea how people do it who are applying to 15 - 20+ schools.

I had been searching for a job for what seemed like forever...I finally got a job on Oct. 29 ...

Now most of my first month's pay is going to the $1500 deposit. I opted out of a few interviews in the meantime to save money. I hope I made the right decision. 🙄

Yah 🙁 T_T On top of all of the crazy expenses (kaplan, mcat, apps, interviews), I just purchased an engagement ring for $3400 😵 Now we just have to see if she says yes..

Tennative date for proposal: Dec. 29, 2007

Just another reason to hate lawyers. You can probably count on one hand the number of people in this country who would be worse than Bush, and somehow, one of them actually has a chance to win?

If she hadn't been married to Bill, and nobody knew who the **** she was, she wouldn't have a prayer. Shed still be a lawyer in Arkansas, gouging her clients for every penny she could.

yea i know, but I guess she doesn't have a chance to win if she is going to drastically try to change the healthcare system that will adversely affect the competitiveness, and competency of physicians in the country.

How long were you searching for a job? I'm my third month since graduation and I have nothing. Granted for a month I was job shadowing and getting my stuff together. But seriously I need money soooo bad, that I'm finally going to start going for orderly jobs and temp positions this next week. I wanted a job with my major of molecular biology, but its been brutal. One of the jobs I was offered for diabetes research wanted a firm two year commitment and I couldn't in all good conscious take it since I'm trying to get into school and I couldn't leave them high and dry. But at least I know people are interested in me.

Does anyone have any suggestions for jobs?🙁

If some of you don't work, then how do you live? Can we work during medical school? I work, and I have some money saved up but they are all gonna go to pay off my car and then insurance each month. not to mention cell phone and I have to buy a laptop.

Work during medical school? I am sure some schools would allow it, but that's why they give you money for housing, bills, food, gas, etc.. So you can focus on school and not money.

Up to you, I suppose...

Medical schools give you living? I have never heard of that. My friends took loans out. Tuition loans and living loans.

I'm feeling the pain. Just got back from another interview and my bank account is in the negative and I have credit card debt that I am now racking up due to lack of enough funds in the bank. I'm wondering if I will have creditors chasing me some time in the near future? 😳

In their loan package, the medical schools have accounted for living expenses. I know for LECOM-B we are allotted approximately $54k for the first year: $10k for housing, $4k for food, etc. This is similar to the plan that I saw when I interviewed at TUCOM-NV. For some reason, NSU didn't give an aid paper, but I am sure it is the same.

Let me clarify......she will win, but she won't implement a national healthcare. She can't. Even with a majority of democrats in the senate and the house,
she won't be able to pass it.

Nobody can and they all know it. They'll try and give a little effort but really its a big ploy to get elected.

Big pharma won't let it happen. Wall Street has been more powerful than the government since unions went out of style in the 60s. Big business tells the Fed what to do.

So YES Hilliary will get elected, NO she can't pass national health.

I bet my life on exactly what I say here. Promise. The tail wags to dog.
