So I saw a big envelope in the mail today from U. of Detroit Mercy and thought it would be an interview invite but alas it was just a big folder full of info. Anyone else get this? Has anyone gotten interviews from them?

I got the same thing...talk about cruel. Did you fill out the open house card and send it in? I think it might be tied to that.

I got the same too. I read it three times. I thought maybe I missed the "you have been invited for an interview" line and I looked in the envelope couple times, thinking maybe the invite is stuck in the envelope or something.

I had an interview there a few weeks ago. The interview invite comes in a small business envelope, just so you know..

I also got that huge packet.. and I didnt even return that Open House invite thing nor did I attend it.. can we assume an invite is on the way tho?

I got the same huge envelope. I too was thinking the invitation letter is left out of the folder.

Does anyone else find the contents of the folder a bit out of place?? there is no interview invite, yet there are directions to the school. There is also info on how to prepare for the DAT.

I think this is just bad. I have receieved so far 8 envelopes from UDM and everytime I check it is something different that what I am expecting. Mostly Thin letters telling me what is missing from my file. I got the same letter 3 times in 3 days telling me my letter from Dentsit is missing. Now what the hell is this. Anyway, I was really excited but after I opened the packet it was just information no invitation. Anyway some of us might get an Acceptance before the UDM interview. Good Luck to All.

Here's some info I got from them during my interview:

I was told that they will interview about 60 people and accept ~45 by December 1st. However, their class is something like 75-78 students, so they will be interviewing a lot more people after December. So just hang in there...theyve hardly interviewed anyone thus far, so I'd expect alot more interviews to be granted after the holidays.

but 2 weeks ago i recieved a letter asking me to send them my 2 letters of rec + 1 letter of dent....!!

everyone gets that huge envelope - what torture. All those montly updates kinda desentasized me to the UDM Admissions letter in the mail, but this time i was happy... today i just got an interview invite, so apparently there is still hope!

this will be my first interview, so anyone with interview experience please give some tips!

UDM sends soooooooo much ****!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The best part was the huge packet I got from them back in December. Inside the packet was a booklet and a way to sign up and take the TOEFL exam (for foreign students) but I graduated from a university in California!!!!!

Also, they send me a admission info page and highlighted the area that says that admission look negatively at long academic absences. I finished undergad and then went on to a masters program that I am finishing up right now!!!!!!!!!

Thank god i withdrew, no more of their SPAM!

UDM is ridiculously behind in terms of the admissions process compared to other schools. I was told by their office that they will be holding interviews through June! They cashed my app fee in September, then in mid - late November I got a letter saying that they hadn't received my app fee. I can't figure out what their deal is.
