I can study for an exam, like even 3-4 days in advance, memorize everything, get an A.... and then boom it's gone.

This worries me for the DAT and dental school.

My bio classes, chem classes, and less importantly gen eds that I have taken so far, I don't really remember much AT ALL.

Do I need to change how I study, and if so how.... I mean this method works well for me and I've done well in undergrad doing it so far, but I just feel like I don't really remember much other than basics and it will hurt me come DAT time or if I study like this in dental school....

As for the DAT, it might hurt you if you're not able to retain the information long enough to take the exam.

In dental school... that is exactly how I study. I study 1-2 days before an exam, memorize everything, do fairly well, and then forget most of it. I'm worried about it in terms of boards, but I figure for boards I'll relearn everything anyway, same way I did for the DAT...

This is short-term memory vs long term issue youre dealing with. Study for the DAT and youll pick up on the concepts faster b/c you already learned it once before even if you recall very little or none. Consistently study for the DAT with the recommended materials for a month or 2 straight and the info will stick.
