Quick question.
My dad went to his doctor today, a ccom graduate, and she told him that I should try and get a residency in Chicago if I plan on finding a job in Chicago after residency and school @ dmu. She said it's hard to find a job w/out the help of the people I meet in residency i.e. collegues & attendings.
I always thought applying for a job was as simple as that. No doubt that it may help to know people, but for her to emphaize this during my dad's check up...??? Is it THAT important? Thanks for any input in advance!
