I have been studying for the past 4 weeks and will be taking my test next month. My biggest problem is remembering what I have studied last week, yet alone the things I read 4 weeks ago. It basically makes me feel like :scared: Sometimes I wonder if my brain is broken or short circuited. I kinda feel like this:

Not sure what to do, but keep plugging away. Anyone else in the same boat or feel the same way when you were preparing? Is this feeling normal?

yeah it is normal!

At least, that is how I am feeling....

probably no one here will admit it though because this has to be the biggest high score shooting crowd I have seen!😀😱

good luck. it is seeping in, I guarantee it!

yea i feel exactly the same way. my UWorld score has been improving alot but i think its mostly due to great guesses than anything else. I have a terrible time recalling this at this point and now the right answer just kind of pops out at me. ask me to explain it and there is no way...

I don't know, maybe subconciously or something we know the right answer to questions. I think that is part of the "gut feeling". You can never be 100% confident for this test, so I think a little bit of feeling "bad" of not recognizing something but in the end feeling like "oh, that's right" is not necessarily a bad indicator for test day.

We all go through it. I think there is something to be said about going through the material multiple times. There were times where I would read something in RR or FA where I had already highlighted, underlined, and made notes on it 2 weeks before-but yet it was like reading it for the first time. Hopefully through each pass a little bit more sticks. I agree the material is in there somewhere and your subconscience can give you that "gut feeling", but I would miss a lot of problems that way too.

A good final pass through the material will keep it "fresh" and maximize the info that fits in our feable minds.

yea i definitely know what you mean. that gut feeling gets me through, and when i read my UWorld answers at least 20% of the time I will think to my self holy crap how did I get that right

Yeah I'm not really like consciously remembering anything, especially the basic sciences I did like almost 2 months ago (doing Taus' method). Right now I'm beginning my last 2 week review thing and it really is ridiculous how much I don't remember.

I just did a UWorld set and read through the answers and flipped through First Aid to add/highlight stuff I got wrong, thinking that it must not have been in First Aid or maybe I didn't highlight it but half the time I'd flip to the page and I'd already highlighted it and sometimes I even wrote notes about it next to it...and yet my brain remembers none of this. Horrible.

Sometimes though I'll be looking at a question and I'll just KNOW it's this answer even though I have no idea what the answer is or why it should be that answer. All I know is that I've read it and somehow it's right. Hopefully this last 2 week review will pack all this in solidly or I'm gonna be screwed. Just did two sets of questions and scored 66% and 58% with a lot of lucky guessing so I'm not exactly feeling confident (cumulative is 63% with random unused).
