I took the August MCAT, and Idecided to delay my application until I finished the test. I know I should have gotten it in early, but they don't look at my application until my MCAT scores are out anyway. I will have everything submitted soon, but I am just trying to figure out if I am the only one who hasn't submitted yet.

The answer is 'NO'. On this board filled with OCD pre-meds (incl. myself), you might get the impression that you are... but you definitely aren't.

It relieves me a little bit to know that there are a lot of others just like me who still haven't completed their application..I am planning to write the Personal Statement and other required info probably before the end of August..the sooner, the better!!

I was also wondering if any of u guys have a link to some website containing sample personal statements..that would be really helpful..

get started on that right away on that PS; it requires quite a bit of introspection so the longer you have to write it the better....

I wouldn't worry too much. I had my application ready at the end of June but didn't submit until August 11th because I was trying to figure out how to pay for it. I just got an email saying I have been processed today (Aug 19th) so it is still moving quickly. I also received the secondary link from Jefferson already. Don't worry but get moving quickly.

I didn't submit until almost 2 weeks after the Aug MCAT, last year. I got one acceptance to a school I really wanted to go to, but it was also my only interview, and in April (scary). Get crackin' and hope you rocked the MCAT. Good luck!

Well, that's awesome! I submitted mine on 7/24/04 and it still hasn't been processed....oh well, at least I have three secondaries. I wonder what's up with AMCAS, I guess I should call. Sucks! 😱

I submitted 7/29 and I just got processed today. Things do seem to be moving pretty quick now. Now, it's on to secondaries...Good luck from me too!
