i recently finished the math destroyer, and i finished the math section in the dat destroyer a while ago, ive come to the conclusion that the questions in the dat destroyer ( pertaining to the math) are much more like the questions that i believe the actual DAT will have.

Anyone else have this feeling?

Im by NO means saying the math destroyer is not worth buying or w.e , in fact i RECOMMEND it.

Im just giving my 2 cents.

How many times have you taken the DAT yet?

No man..I dont completely agree... DAT destroyer is like a cake walk for MATH...

Infact, the last time I took the test, even the MATH destroyer seemed to be a cake walk compared to how the actual QR was..but then I guess it was just that one QR test that was effing tough...

MATH destroyer otherwise is comparable to the actual DAT...

Ah i guess i was wrong then. I've never taken the actual DAT so im speaking from experience that i've gotten taking practice exams.

Can you recommend any software or program out there that is most closely related to the actual Dat math? Topscore?

From what I have read here, MATH Destroyer and TS are good representatives of the actual MATH...unless, you get a funky MATH section if there is any...

It also depends on how well you learn from your mistakes in MATH Destroyer..for example, not get the Quadrants wrong, like I did in other thread...not forget ur formulas and conversions..

DAT destroyer and Math Destroyer were a cake walk compared to the real exam! Top Score was also a lot easier than my actual exam. During my actual exam I was flipping out because it was so hard. I guessed on more than 20 questions because there wasn't enough time. In my practice exams I was getting 20-22 but on the actual exam I got an 18. But in all honesty the 18 was not representative of what I knew on that exam. I should have gotten a 15. lol. Me getting an 18 was complete luck.

I haven't ever been great at math, but I have never been bad either so math was the one subject I studied and practiced continuously and learned my mistakes and knew the formulas. But by the end of the math section in my exam I had tears in my eyes I could barely see the screen. I could have just gotten a really hard section or maybe my brain was not working. Either way I should have believed all the people on SDN tell everyone that DAT and Math Destroyer were easier compared to the actual exam.

The best way to prepare is to do a LOT of word problems. I also had difficult log questions unlike the ones in DAT or Math Destroyer.

Wow..i know how it feels..the exact same thing happened to me last time...

You said do more word problems, but from where???

Out of all the material I used to study, the QR section and Destroyer Math were way way way to eerily similar.

Actually contrary to what the OP is saying, I believe the real DAT QR is a lot like Math Destroyer, I have done QR in both and I have taken the DAT before and I can say the math in the QR real DAT is a lot like the Math Destroyer but going over the QR in the DAT destroyer doesn't hurt to go through

Maybe old math books or just become proficient in decoding word problems and creating equations. From what I have read online my account of the situation is rare. I feel like I may just have been one of the unlucky ones that got a difficult section. In general I did learn a lot from both DAT and Math destroyer but for my particular exam I didn't apply much of it because it was different from the questions I studied.

In terms of difficulty I would say the Math destroyer is similar to the actual test. I had a few word problems in the actual test but nothing complicated. If you are able to solve the word problems on the destroyer you should be fine.

Im not sure what you are asking, but ive never taken the DAT, im giving my opinion based on the # of practice tests ive taken.

Opps... my initial question came off a bit condescending (not my intention)
I was just surprised to hear you compare the real QR to destroyer's QR. Usually (and this is my experience) MATH destroyer is about 80% similar to actual QR (same problems, different values).... So I thought you took the test a few times
