Tom,

I?m sure you?re not the only one cramming for those?especially if you?re gunning for the general route. Is Part-II less or more stressful than Part-I and how much did you use decks for it?

Damn, looks like lots of people are up... Had a little brown bag flu this morning, and yesterday morning for that matter... so I slept all day.

I'm a huge Lakers fan (raised by Laker fans -- Central Illinois) and go to Indiana now. So I tell people the Pacers are my surrogate team in the East. Lakers played well, that was a huge game...NBA finals...yulp...that's my guess.

Shaq daddy only pulled down 5 boards...he killed my fantasy team for the week.

Rezdawg,

You play on Yahoo? My team is pretty nice...went with yao over the diese though.

Yeah, Im with Yahoo.

I had the 10th pick in the first round and Superman was available, so I went with him. His FT% is murderous though...I lose that category every week.

Yao is pretty solid. Im from Houston, so he's one of my favorites.

Thanks all for the well-wishing-- I'll need all the luck I can get! 😛

At my school, I think the NBDE Pt-II is more stressful because we are taking it in the middle of the semester, compared to NBDE Pt-I when we took it in the middle of the summer (when there is time to really study without having to worry about anything else).

Materialwise, I think Pt-II is probably a bit harder.

5.5 hours... I think I might have time for a 3-hour nap. 🙁

Once again, congrats for those of you who are now officially members of the Class of 2008!

It wouldnt let me access that page. I think you will need to list the players.

I really like that thought!

Pretty solid team you got.
I'm working on a trade for T-Mac and Ray Allen using Arenas, J-O, and Chandler.

Where are all of you guys wanting to go/have heard from?

Holy crap man...thats a squad right there. How many people are in your league? It seems like youve got every bad ass in the league on your team.

We've got 12 teams in our league.

Why am I so anxious about dec. 1? Some schools just received my application fee last week. Ive got a while until I hear anything from anyone. My heart is racing like Im actually waiting to hear something tomorrow.

Zurich, where do you want to go?

I gotta be realistic about my situation...BU or NYU would be a blessing for me. Celtics or Knicks....BoSox or Yanks....Pats or Giants?

Great sports area..I didn't look into it though -- likely stay in the Midwest.

Right now I'm leaning towards SIU (hoping I get in), wouldn't mind commuting to the school if I could live in the Saint Louis area, and know some people who could be a great benefit when I get out.

IU is a possibility and I'm interviewing at UIC this week, so it's a pretty short list at this point.

I went to school in St. Louis. Stay away from east St. Louis at nights...Scary place. The only way you can be stuck there at nights is if you venture off to the strip clubs...they are all located in east st. louis.

How far is the commute from St. Louis?

Realistically it would only be about 30-40 minutes. It?s a great school, and super cheap so I?m hoping to get in. The L in Chicago would be just about as bad as the commute, and I?m not a huge fan of BIG cities. I would probably try to find a place around Clayton/U-City to live, so I would be pretty close to Wash U, which would be a lot better than living in Alton, Il. We?ll see though. Where did you go to school?? I?ve played basketball in East St. Louis so I know all about it.

I went to school at Wash U. Good area. That Clayton/U-City area is a comfortable place to live. I miss the 4 am drives to Steak N Shake...those cheese fries were perfect.

That?s good to hear?amazing undergrad. Are there any apartments/areas you would recommend specifically?

Also, what were your stats like Rezdawg?

As far as the apartments are concerned, Im only familiar with the ones near Wash U. There is an area called the Loop with tons of apartments. Many of the Wash U kids live in that area. Its between Forest Park and Delmar Blvd. The area is cool because you will be around mostly 21-24 year olds and you will be close to many restaurants, shops, bars, etc... If you stick to the area around Wash. U., you can definitely find a nice place to live.

My stats....horrible:

3.0x Overall GPA
2.99 Science GPA

19/17/18 DAT

Honestly, I dont even think Im getting an interview from NYU or BU based on the numbers I see here and the fact that its so late in the application cycle. We'll see...Im keeping my fingers crossed.

I don?t know man...those aren?t bad DAT scores by any means. The people around here a just a bit gung-ho sometimes. I bet you?ll get in somewhere. I know people have gotten in with a ton less. Where all did you apply, and how late?

What is the rent like in that area??

UT-San Antonio, UT-Houston, Baylor, Case, Marquette, BU, NYU, Nova, Arizona, Tufts, VCU, USC, UOP, Columbia

The way I see it, my only shot is at BU or NYU. Maybe one or two others. Either way, I gotta be realistic about the situation. My expectations arent high, Im just going for 1 acceptance. I submitted my AADSAS application on Oct. 6th.

One of my friends from Wash U had a lower science GPA and DAT and she got into NYU. But, she sent her application in August, so that helped her out.

About the rent...it ranges from about $350 a month to $600 a month.

I don't think Oct. 6th is really that late. I sent mine in August 25th and haven't noticed a huge difference.

That's not bad rent...I know some guys who lived in Brentwood Forrest and it was like $1000 for a two bedroom. Where would you look in the $300-500 range?

Youve got solid scores man...you are right under me in the stats thread on page 10.

Hey bro, Im gonna hit the sack. I hope to wake up to hear some good news for you. Either write the news in one of these threads or drop me a PM to let me know how it went. Good luck dawg!

One thing you could do is go to the Wash U webpage and check out any links they may have for off campus housing.

I lived with 2 other guys and our place was $1500 a month, so it came out to about $500 a person. That will probably be as expensive of a place per person, so you could easily find something for less than that.
