Wow, that's a ton of Qs for one thread.

are you kidding me with this thread??? how annoying!!!!

Even if you're not trolling, no school will let you take gen1&2 and orgo1&2 the same semester. That's just silly.

I will help you with this question since there are many annoyed SDNers. Schools will tell you if you're accepted on the 1st of December because they're excited to let you know that you're in. However, if you are rejected, they usually tell you mid-December.

u can do anything you set your mind to!! DO you remember the little train that could...just say I think I can I think I can I think I can...and they you will be able to ...Oops flag on the play...schools will not allow u to take org1&2 chem1&2 at the same time....these are prereqs of each other:laugh:

No, on a serious note,

I think anyone can do stellar on the DAT...however, my thoughts don't count...its about time, effort, and anxiety levels. If you manage your time well, study smart, and put your all into it...you theoretically do well.

3) really are u really asking about the GPA do u really want to know...do u need a pat on the back...okay seriously....an upward progression in the right direction tends to lessen the initial GPA which wasn't bad to begin with.

4)Does it matter if you already have both. Each applicants file is different...perhaps it will make a difference for your application and for someone else it wouldn't.

5)You shouldn't be asking how well do you need to do...you should shoot for a 30 and study hard.

6)ASK ADCOM...call up the school you are interested in...and ask them directly......all of these questions...they would answer your question better and more realistically than a bunch of people who are anxious about whether they have been accepted or not.

first of all
thanks for all the comments...
oh well i had thoses chemistries classes almost 10 years ago from out of country,
and they didn't give me the grades on that when i transfered that to the community college anyway it was good enough to put me in all the classes at the same time ,,, ...sorry i didn;t mean to confuse you all and
i had the bad grades from community college because i had to work 50 hours per week ...
anyway thanks again for all the feedback

no one can tell you for sure what you will get on the DAT. Put in the time and you will see the results.

Good Luck to you! And now I understand. Just work hard and if you are driven, dedicated, and determined enough to get into dental school...you will do everything necessary to make sure your application will be competitive for the next cycle.

As far as the DAT goes...like everyone says...it is about how much you put into it. but test anxiety could kill a person's score....so make sure you know how you handle exams.

I took 16 credit hours over the summer including both orgos and took the DAT the week after my classes ended. I gave those DATs a good thumping.

This thread is similar to what i already have posted about 10 days ago and the respondants thought i was joking lol. i think it wouldn't be a problem if you like science, but taking level 1 and 2 at the same time doesn't seem fine since you have to know level 1 knowledge in order to understand level 2.
