Anyone experience with electronic timecard for your CRNAs?

Right now we have them right down on paper their times in and out each day. Extra pay is also tracked this way. We need a better electronic way though an app or some software. Anyone doing anything like this?

We used a biometric time clock. The issue then became How long after dropping off their last case in PACU (or being relieved) till they punch out. A few people took about 40 minutes to finish their charting, sign out their last patient, reconcile their drugs, go to the bathroom, get dressed, then go to the office to clock out. 😉.

You could standardize it. Anesthesia end time+20min.

We use a scheduling program that has clock in/out functions available. OT and call shift stipends are all tied in with this system. So are all scheduling functions, self-service swaps, PTO time, etc.

We have done everything over the years from writing time in a book to "overtime cards" and finally to electronic scheduling/timekeeping. There really isn't a way to totally eliminate fudging on time, even when done electronically. At some point you either have to trust your people to do the right thing, or make them sign out each day with you personally, which will be a royal PIA.

We have them call a special phone number with a pin it can only be from 3 phones in the office. Computer then does time. However we have an hr person that audits time with anesthesia billing sheets, if your consistently way off it effects any bonus money, repeated habitual offenders get there walking paper
