Anyone get accepted to MSU-CHM today?

Dr. Shafer likes to call people herself and does so mostly in the evenings (from what I have heard). Also, it took several days after the phone call for them to update my on-line status to accepted. :luck::luck::luck:
 
Im waiting to hear back from them also, I interviewed on the 4th of october i think... I really want to get in!!! let me know if you guys get any new info
 
Now, I'm beginning to think that the notification dates on their web page don't mean much. I wonder when we are going to know...:scared:
 
Me too. I interviewed on September 27th. What did you guys all think?
 
The website says something about final decision days, however. One of which is the 15th, one is the 24th, the 7th of November...So, the final decision may have been made, but they haven't let us know yet.

/Still holding out hope. They do call on Tuesday evenings.

Thanks for all the info! I interviewed Oct. 4th and am waiting on the MSU call as well... (which can be especially frustrating when you work 12 hr shifts at a hospital w/ltd phone access!) looks like i'll have to wait until next Tuesday!:luck:
 
Everytime someone calls me from a number I don't recognize I get really excited.

And then my hopes are crushed when it's the contractors/salesmen/not MSU...
 
im just a little worried about when we will find out b/c if they are having a meeting next tuesday it may be the first one and they have A LOT of apps to go through. Also, on the website they say they do not go through them necessarilly by date of interview.
 
looking at the interview thread, I think they have had 4 interview days so far. ??? I didn't even know they interviewed up north. They had 24 people each interview day, so that means they have a pretty good stack of apps to look at when they meet.
 
Im on a pre-interview/pre-letter hold... 🙁 Sucks.

How long after you submitted your secondary did they tell you if you got an interview or put you on hold? I'm sick of waiting to know.
 
they ask for your letters if they are looking at you. then after that they ask for interview.
 
How long after they request your letters do you normally hear about an interview? They requested my letters about a week ago and my letters were already there (I just had all my recommenders sent them out in one batch..less hassle for them). I was figuring 2-6 weeks before I hear back, but I am hoping that it is closer to two!! 😀

It took a while; I was asked to send my letters on July 30, and I didn't get an interview invite until about September 18. Stay positive!
 
i got my secondary beginning of September, the following week they wanted letters and i think 20 days later i was invited for an interview. Very nice people just it hurts waiting. Dont worry though, you will be fine
 
i forgot to mention, they really dont process the letters until school starts. that is what i was told. so people in summer waited a bit longer. I could be wrong:hardy:
 
those of us that interviewed in september have been waiting forever. I hope they tell us today.

Voicemail from the dean at 7:47 pm. Woot. Div0t17 - I think I interviewed on the same day you did. Weird. Were you the one getting married this summer and with the strange interview at Wayne last year?
