Anyone go to an NYC school?

I'm originally from NYC, and after going to college out-of-state, I'll probably be going to med school in NYC. For those of you who go to a school in NYC, how did you decide to go there? Do you like your school? Please share opinions! Thanks!

I decided to stay in New York for med school because of 1) family and 2) I wanted to do residency and eventually practice in New York.

When you already live in the greatest city in the world, why go anywhere else? 🙂 I'm a born and bred New Yorker.

Oh, and at the time (Fall 1999), SUNY med schools were dirt cheap.
