Anyone going to howard interview?

Hi all,

This would be my first interview but hopefully not my last one. Any of you had expereience with Howard? I just got the invitation and seems like the ones got invited are actually pretty diverse (according to their email address). I don't think anyone here mentioned anything about the interview process at howard here yet so any comment is appreciated. I am losing my hope at this point as this is the only school that i heard from since I submitted to aadsas at Oct 05.

my stats:
AA 21, PAT 20, QR 22, RC 25, TS 19
ug berkeley (under 3.0 club), grad school in biosciences(bioinformatics)
cum sci: 3.1 , overall 3.16

Hey, just wondering, are you an URM? Also, nice DAT scores. You should have a good shot at Howard,esp if you are an URM.

Well, I don't think asian is considered a minority, so i was surprised that i actually got an interview from them.

What method did they use to contact you for the interview (email, snail mail etc.,)? and when did they contact you? Also, how soon from the time they contacted you is your interview set for? Thanks!

I have have volunteered at a private dental office as an assistant for almost a year, some community services, UCLA hospital volunteer program.. etc whatever most ppl have in the forum, i don't think i have high stat since i got rejected by about 10 schools already. still waiting for the others.

I was notified via email last friday (1/20) and the dates offered were 2/3, 2/7. 2/14. It was weird that i was allowed to see all the email address that the invitation was sent to, about 10 ppl got invited from that email i think.

Good luck. I don't think Howard is as bad as some people say. And plus, I think it would be cool going to school with a lot of non-white people. Gives you a totally different perspective on the world. 👍 Only problem is I'd always get picked last for basketball 🙁 😀

I know someone who got in as the token white kid a few years ago. He didn't have many complaints, and he said like 30% of his class was failing so all is B's ending up being A's. Good luck!
