So MARC is this weekend, is anyone else going? I'm presenting but I'm a med student who is also studying for step 1, so I was wondering what would happen if I skipped the rest of the conference. I'd rather not, but I may have to =(

Im a fellow med student and will be presenting also.

I'll be there. Many programs (mine included) have a booze-cruise on the way there, so it's pretty fun. The conference is pretty low key but, to be honest, not super educational for residents. It's mostly interesting case studies sprinkled with small research projects. Worth going to, but step I will have WAY more impact on your future.

Ah, ok. I saw the agenda and I was worried about the "general sessions" being some sort of required activity. Stupid boards.

Who is footing the bill for you guys going to MARC?

I finished 3rd year (back in June) and took a year off to do the Clinical Research Training Fellowship at Mayo Clinic Rochester. One thing Mayo has is $$$ and they dont mind paying!
