Although it has been a tough decision, I am currently leaning towards TUCOM over AZCOM and WesternU/COMP. Is anyone else planning to go to Touro or still considering it? Would love to hear from you!!

Just got my acceptance today. I am definitely planning to attend the school this fall. I am cleaning out my savings account as we speak!

Hey there!

I just got in yesterday too. Still trying to decide. What do you guys think of the fact that it's such a new school?

Do you know anything about their Board percentages and how good their rotation and residency placements are?

Congratulations to both of you!

Maybe we'll all be in the same class!

yes.. I am definitely going to be there this fall. Most of their hospital affiliations are in the bay area with the exception of one in Vegas and one in Philadelphia. I think more are going to open up on the east coast in the near future.

First of all, congrats on all of your acceptances. Secondly, J143, when was your interview? Lastly, I was wondering if I can have your email addresses so I can keep in touch with you guys. Anyway, I hope that we'll get to be classmates next year!

Oh, one more thing. This is for J143. I think Touro is a good school. Although it may not be as established as other schools, it has a lot of potential. The students are very friendly and so are the faculty members. It's definitely a school worth thinking about. Also, I think Touro is (or plans to be) affiliated with a hospital in Los Angeles. Whichever school you plan to attend, I wish you the best of luck!

Darly and Meep,

I'm still in the process of deciding which school to attend and am still leaning towards TUCOM. I am curious to know, why did you select TUCOM? I would really be interested in hearing what sold you on the program.

Darly,

Thanks for all the thoughtful comments you sent via email!! That was really helpful. (I hadn't heard about the UCSF profs.) Your comments cetainly confirm my opinion that I'm leaning in a good direction with Touro. Now... it's decision time!

TUCOM has rotation affiliations with St. John's Episcopal on LI, in Philadelphia, in Texas (Houston, I think, don't quote me), in Las Vegas (where they'll take anyone we send), and is affiliated with Kaiser Permanente of Northern California. And more are in the works.

Oh, and by the way, I believe the Class of 2001 board pass rate was 93%.
