I received a packet from IUSM last week. I submitted AMCAS on July 10th. It did not request an additional essay and made no mention of one needed in the future. They just sent a thing for a transcript request since AMCAS sucks and will not send them a verified application in time. They also included the evaluation forms (letters of rec). I have talked to others who have applied to IU and have not received this packet yet either so don't worry if you haven't. I hope this helps.
