Hey guys, I know a lot of the Texas schools are sending out interview invites already. Has anyone recieved one from UT southwestern? Just curious 🙂

While I am not applying this year, many of my friends are. So if it makes you feel any better none of them have received anything from UTSW yet. They all processed everything quite early and have interviews to A&M, UTH, and UTMB I believe.

Thanks, I"ve heard from UTH and San Antonio, but no one else, I procesed fairly early so I think unless I hear from Dallas I may be done., Thanks again for the info and Good Luck next year!

I am attending UTSW this year, and I remember getting an invite from them for their first interview day during the first week of school, which was closer towards the end of August than the beginning. I was worried about it last year, but they are one of the last of the Texas schools to begin the interview invites.

I called UTSW last week (I think last Monday, 7/28), and after 4-5 calls or so, they finally told me that they were going to begin processing applications that week. So, basically, they didn't even START looking at apps until last week. I think that the earliest invites should be coming pretty soon though....

I just received my SW invite yesterday, but I was processed on 8/18. Does anyone know when the earliest interview date is? I'm scheduled to head up there on 10/2.

the dates are listed on the website. but i think the earliest is 9/11.

Like UT_Stephen I got an interview invite for 10/2 and my app was processed on 8/18. I think that it is a funny coincidence that we have the same first name, attend the same school, had our apps processed on the same day, and we are interviewing at the same school on the same day. Oh and we have the same MCAT score.

Well, my name isn't stephen, I don't go to Houston, and I don't know your scores, but I got an invite from UTSW for 10/2 also., so I'll see you guys there. So far this is my only interview. Just got my suit, hopefully it will be worth it.
I am from out of state. I think SW just does a numbers crunch to decide who they interview because I got an interview invite two days after being processed, that seemed like a pretty quick turn around! I haven't heard from any other Texas schools yet.
