just wondering what you thought of the interview and the school itself.
I interviewed Monday, left feedback on the interview page. I assume the most recent post is yours? It was unseasonably warm, wasn't it? I was quite pleased about that.
My interview left quite an impression. I had only two interviewers, as the DO had an obligation, and it was quite laid back. I didn't get the infamous ethical question that I prepared long and gard for...I guess that was the DOs job! They really want to see if you want to go to their school and if so, if you'll be a good fit. I think I did well since we were joking and laughing the whole time.
As for the rest of time, I was blown away by the facilities. Wireless technoloigies, huge classroom space, a pool (yeah!), plenty of on-campus housing and parking, friendly people everywhere...
I do think they tried to sell the school a little too hard, making us try to believe that it's the best school ever. Maybe it is...I don't know. Everyone raved about the clinicals that are set up for you around Chicago. The only things I didn't like were that it seemed as if the students strived to be exactly like MDs (with residencies and decreased emphasis on OMM) and they also seemed less concerned with the underserved, rural, and overseas rotations and practices. I could be wrong on this too since I was there for only half a day.
Good luck and hope we hear soon! What were your impressions? Where else are you interviewing/considering?

I am on the admissions committee and am a student interviewer at CCOM. I can tell you that we have tons of rural rotations, our family med program encourages and promotes underserved medicine like you won't believe. A little too much at times.

We stress OMM vehemently. I'm sure you saw our OMM lab with the cameras, TV screens, electronic tables and amazing production technology. We even have a DVD called "OMM Chicago Style". All our students are required to have it and all the other schools get our DVD and use it. On it you can view every single manipulation that is taught, plus a lot of extras. We do not try to be MDs, we have an extra tool that they don't have in their toolbox. But yes, a lot of new med students are just here because they didn't get in anywhere else.

I have a lot friends at many med school, Do and MD. We always compare notes. From my experience, it's my humble opinion that you will be getting one of the finest medical school educations and experience availble in the US.

I hope you did well. I didn't interview on Feb 2nd, but you can probably call now to find out how you did. They tell you. Yes, our interview is the dealbreaker. We want to know that you are human and not just a resume.

Good luck!!

yes, i do. but malo claims to be involved with the adcom, so perhaps it's not premature.
