Hey,

I was wondering if anyone got into one of Upenn or University of Pacific's accelerated dental programs, and if any of you can post your stats or rate me on chances of getting in:

I have a 3.91 UW in the hardest classes, 4.1 Weighted, top 6% UW rank, 17/520 Weighted Rank. ACT = 30, SAT was terrible, but I think I got 1310 CR+Math.

My dental-related ECs are:
-OHSU dental exploring program
-Volunteering at a hospital
-Will try to shadow an orthodontist (not a guarentee, so don't count this as one)
-Volunteered at a top 10 nationally ranked science museum in the life science department
-Doing research on anti-viral medications
-Science and Math Club VP and BPA science bowl participant
-1st place at math competition
-a little bit more, but not much.

If you want a full resume, you can PM me and I'll send it to you, but I'd really like to know what people who got in did and how good of a chance I stand. I'm really interested in medicine and dentistry (now that I have dropped pharmacy to backup status), and I'd like to know how good of a chance I stand if I apply to these programs.

btw, for the Upenn one, I know there are multiple undergrad schools affiliated with it, can you tell me my chances at the easiest one to get into (I think its lehigh or villanova right?)

A couple of other notes:
-I'd really like to apply to programs that don't only accept SAT because I did awful on it, and don't require SAT 2s as I have none.
-Does anyone know if Michigan's pre-admit program is for being a dentist or for being a hygenist?

thanks, sorry for the long post though!

Are you still in high school or are you a undergrad at UW?
What are your DAT scores, that has a big effect on where you can get accepted into. Schools don't care about your SAT or ACT scores.

You have a 3.91 in the Hardest Classes. What hard classes? Everyone that applies to dental school takes hard classes.

Its best to decide on dentistry or medicine, not both. you would have a lot of explaining to do as to why dentistry or medicine.

I'm a high schooler. thats why I'm applying to an accelerated program..
