Hi!

I am between jobs during my glide year, and I wondered if anyone has started their own business while in undergrad, glide year, or even med school (probably not).

I know adcoms probably will look down upon my starting my own business during my glide year, when I should be doing more selfless things, but I'm married and have a kid to feed.

I'm thinking about selling something online. Anyone have any advice or comments on this?

Thanks!

BB

I know a med student who I worked with on a project that started a biotech company with friends during her glide year. Said it gave her a lot to talk about during interviews and adcoms were impressed.

I'm thinking about the same thing, I've already got the equipment, so what the hell.... however, starting a legitimate business seems to be much more difficult than I had imagined

if it were easy, everyone would do it. but medicine's not easy either...

I always wanted to take my chemistry expertise and start a meth lab. You don't have to get business permits, and I heard they are quite profitable. Then on your ECs, you can put that you have "extensive" experience in pharmacitucals, from manufacture to sales!
