I do not think there is anyway to know how much preparation is "enough".I think we are at a disadvantage here as we are not in school or presently practicing. Plus I am sure many of us like myself haven't been in practice for quite some years. 🙁 🙁 So anything we can do should only prove hepful... That is my take on it...
I am not too comfortable with the case based myself especially since it is hard to know what is the 'right ' answer as opinions tend to wary in clinical scenarios. To my knowledge, the book called "Problem solving in Clinical dentistry" by Edward Odell is recommended for preparing for those case based.
How helpful the book proves remains to be seen. It is a well written, organised & informative book though.
