most of the programs I am applying to do not have step 2 deadlines. is it really okay that i wont be able to take step 2 till april? has anyone ever done this? or should I be concerned. most ppl on the interview trail seemed to have taken step2.
anyone that apply to peds last year take step 2 after match?

If they don't require it, you don't need it. If they didn't ask for it, you're fine. Lots of people (myself included) don't take Step 2 or don't get their results) until after the ROL deadline (which is basically the same as it happening after the Match) and do just fine.
Of course...you best pass that bad boy since you'll need it to graduate and start residency and if you fail, you may not have time to make it up before you're scheduled to start.

thanks....that makes me feel better. they only asked me at one place and it freaked me out a little. yeah i don't plan to fail but i wont have the score till April.
