I have a few questions that I have for students at WVSOM or Marian. Would anyone be willing to answer my questions? Thanks!
I strongly second this unsolicited but absolutely correct advice. If your instate or they allow you to become instate WVSOM all the way.
Lol, well I mean the question was implied... I might even say WVSOM even at full cost. A state school with lots of alumni and residency's is far superior to a newer COM.I strongly second this unsolicited but absolutely correct advice.

I mean look at this, its thier actual attrition rates, posted for everyone: https://www.wvsom.edu/sites/default/files/u16/r-Graduate Data Outcome October 18 2017.pdf
Your believing the SDN hype, Marian hasn't done any of the things they talked about several years ago, no residency's, went back on keeping the religious component out of the curriculum, still have true believers teaching OMM. Also look at the actual amount that made it to the match from their first graduating class last year. They aren't bad, but WVSOM is decidedly better. COMLEX Past Performance | West Virginia School of Osteopathic MedicineActually I would go to Marian. They have their act together really well from what I hear. I know they pulled one of our best faculty to be a clinical dean of some sort. They have a good working relationship with IU supposedly, and have very solid rotations.

I am trying to remember who it was that went there. I think it was a member with the obi-wan avatar. Kemosabe maybe? Not sure, but it was a thing 3 or so years ago. The OMM part is fair enough, although some schools do have faculty who don't believe in cranial. Mine did for a little while.Actually my info came from outside of SDN.
Every school does so that isn't a big deal. By default you have to be a true believer to be teaching OMM lol
I'm curious about the second part because I hadn't heard that. The first part is supposedly because IU is letting them use many of the PC community programs in Indiana as the "marian programs." Supposedly.
That's harder, cause Campbell walks the walk. They did start residency's and the scholarships are (well at least were) legit when I applied. I would still like a state school, but Campbell is solid. If I got the instate, I would probably still do WVSOM. But interview and see who seems like a better fit. If they are still giving upto 20k a year in scholarships, along with their solid OPTI, I do like Campbell. Plus they are rural medicine rather then specifically primary care focused as I recall.

Why do you say that? I got an II and it seems like a solid place.I would avoid Marian at all cost.
smh..I'm that forgettable, eh?I am trying to remember who it was that went there. I think it was a member with the obi-wan avatar. Kemosabe maybe? Not sure, but it was a thing 3 or so years ago. Kenobi kemosabe, I was close. I don't have a photographic memory, that was pretty good for digging up info from the abscess of my mind. 🙂 Please set the record straight on Marian tho.smh..I'm that forgettable, eh?![]()
